Objectives of the action
Overall objectives:
1. To promote a good understanding of EU technical education systems at higher education level in the fields of production management and international trade.
2.To exchange ideas, views and knowledge about cooperative education at university level, both in Europe and Asia.
3. To bring EU technical assistance to CAMT staff (College Of Arts Media and Technology, Chiang Mai University) in order to structure and adapt a production supervisor training course within a cooperative education system, both: to the cultural, social and economic context of the Northern Part of Thailand ;to the EU market economic constraints and requirements.
Specific objectives :
1. To set up a collaborative organisation between CMU and Companies to analyse jobs evolution and regularly revise the teaching programs of the MMIT (Modern Management and Information Technology) bachelor course.
2. To set up tools, methods and an organisation structure to manage the cooperative part of the MMIT program and enhance CAMT staff's ability to manage this cooperative program.
3. To integrate innovative teaching modules to enhance graduates’ ability to work for or with European companies.
4. To prepare a follow-up system to analyse graduates’ career paths and assess the economic and social impact of the MMIT training program.

Estimated results

1. Increased ability of CAMT to manage undergraduate cooperative education programs jointly with companies and assess their efficacity and impact on companies.
2. New tools, methods and an organisation structure suit for the management of the MMIT cooperative education program.
3. Commitment of companies in the cooperative education program.
4. Revised curriculum and 4 new teaching modules suitable to the current and futures needs of the companies based around Chiang Mai and giving new capacities to graduates to work for and with EU professional partners.
5. Enhanced quality of the Bachelor training course (targeted outcome of the training program : increased ability of graduates to satisfy companies' requirement and integrate EU specificities in their job of production supervisor ; 50% of the graduates employed after the cooperative education program)
