The College of Arts, Media and Technology, Chiang Mai University, joined forces in international collaboration with Chung-Ang University, a leading institution from the Republic of Korea, to organize the “CAU x CMU Joint Hackathon 2026” under the concept of “Global Sustainability.” The event provides a platform for students to unleash their creativity, brainstorm, and discover new innovations to address global sustainability challenges.

This activity aligns with the college’s Strategic Objective 1 (SO1): Excellent Learning Ecosystem (Learning Playground), which aims to build an outstanding learning ecosystem and environment conducive to experimentation, encouraging students to maximize their potential by developing complex problem-solving, creative thinking, and sustainable innovation skills. Furthermore, it offers an opportunity for Thai and South Korean students to collaborate in teams, exchange cultural perspectives, and practice global teamwork, with experts from both universities serving as mentors and advisors throughout the event.

This event marks another important milestone for the college in cultivating “Digital Talents” equipped with outstanding potential ready to become global citizens driving sustainable change. With over 20 participants, the event is held from August 4 to 7, 2026, at the College of Arts, Media and Technology, Chiang Mai University.
