
The Research Administration and International Relations Unit, College of Arts, Media and Technology, Chiang Mai University, advanced its research ecosystem and academic services by hosting the “Annual Researchers’ Seminar 2026” to update guidelines and exchange directions for modern innovation creation.
The seminar featured expert speakers sharing deep insights across two key topics:
๐ “Real-World Interactive Systems: From Lab Projects to Academic Research” by Asst.Prof.Priyakorn Pusawiro, Ph.D., Assistant to the President for Digital and Social Innovation at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), who shared concepts on transforming laboratory projects into practical research and social innovations.
๐ “GenAI for Smart & Ethical Research” by Assoc.Prof.Pornrat Wattanakasiwich, Ph.D., Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Science, Chiang Mai University, who explored transparent, ethical, and efficient integration of Generative AI into research workflows, followed by an engaging Q&A session.
Additionally, the event hosted the “Honorable Research, Innovation, and Academic Service Awards” ceremony to recognize dedicated personnel who contribute significantly to advancing knowledge, creating innovation, and delivering academic services for societal benefit. The awards were presented by Asst.Prof.Worawit Janchai, Ph.D., Dean of the College of Arts, Media and Technology.
This initiative underscores the college’s commitment to promoting excellence and positioning CAMT as an innovative research organization driving technology alongside ethical responsibility and sustainability. The event took place on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Chiang Mai Marriott Hotel.
