CAMT CMU Drives “Series 2026” Strategy, Partnering with Cyber Police to Develop Application Enhancing Scam Awareness through Gamification

The College of Arts, Media and Technology, Chiang Mai University, moves forward in driving its “CAMT Series 2026” strategy to accelerate digital innovation for society. Led by Asst.Prof.Raslapat Suteeca, Ph.D., Head of the School of Arts, Media and Technology, along with a team of students from the Modern Management and Information Technology (MMIT) program, in-depth data was gathered to develop an interactive gamified learning media project titled “Cyber Hunter: Hunting Online Scams,” aiming to build immunity and promote cyber literacy skills among children and youth in the digital era.

This project focuses on integrating knowledge of information technology, game design, and real-world operational data to deliver tangible outcomes. The initiative was honored by the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB), led by Pol.Maj.Pattarasak Somngam, Inspector of the News Analysis and Special Tools Sub-Division, Cyber Crime Investigation Division 4, alongside a team from Cyber Crime Investigation Division 4 under the CCIB. They shared information, real case study online scam patterns, and cybercriminal behaviors with the students. This data will be transformed into an interactive learning application, enabling users to learn and practice cyber threat response skills through engaging and easy-to-understand simulated scenarios.

The event took place on August 6, 2026, at the College of Arts, Media and Technology, Chiang Mai University.
